PRINCIPAL

Skye Watson is the Principal and Founder of Freshwater Legal, a practice she established in 2005 after gaining broad experience in both a city-based sole practitioner firm and a mid-tier commercial law firm. She founded the practice with a clear vision: to deliver high-quality legal services while maintaining a balanced and fulfilling family life, an ambition she has successfully realised over more than 20 years of dedicated practice.

Skye is widely recognised as a trusted and respected legal adviser within Sydney’s Northern Beaches community, and her reputation has enabled her to build a diverse client base extending interstate and internationally. She is known for her commitment to excellence and her personalised, client-focused approach, guiding individuals and families through all stages of life.

She specialises in conveyancing, wills, and probate, providing clear, practical guidance across property transactions and estate matters. Skye is committed to delivering outcomes with precision and care, ensuring her clients feel supported and informed at every stage.

A hallmark of Skye’s practice is her long-standing relationships with clients, often supporting multiple generations within the same family. She takes pride in understanding the unique dynamics of each family and providing consistent, thoughtful guidance as their needs evolve over time. Skye is supported by her highly valued colleagues, Robyne, who has been an integral part of the practice for approximately 18 years, and Isabella Ali who has recently joined the firm and holds the same values as Skye.

Outside of her professional commitments, Skye enjoys a rich family life with her partner and five children. She is passionate about health and wellbeing, enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle, and values the opportunity to spend time in the country whenever she can.

SENIOR PARALEGAL/PERSONAL ASSISTANT

Robyne Simpson is a highly experienced Paralegal and Personal Assistant at Freshwater Legal, where she has been a valued member of the team for over 18 years. In her role, she works closely with Skye Watson and Isabella Ali providing comprehensive support across conveyancing, wills and probate, and estate planning.

Robyne is reognised for her strong technical knowledge in conveyancing and her ability to guide clients through the process with confidence, care, and attention to detail. She is known for her approachable and supportive manner, fostering lasting relationships with clients, many of whom return for her assistance time and again. Robyne takes great pride in ensuring matters are handled efficiently and thoroughly, even in complex or high-pressure circumstances.

With extensive experience in the legal sector, Robyne consistently delivers work of a high professional standard while remaining attentive to the individual needs of each client. Over her time at Freshwater Legal, she has had the privilege of assisting multiple generations within families, helping to build enduring client relationships, and contributing significantly to the firm’s reputation for trusted, long-term service. Her dedication, reliability, and depth of knowledge make her an integral part of the Freshwater Legal team.

Outside of the office, Robyne enjoys spending time with her two sons and maintaining an active social life with friends. She is a passionate and loyal supporter of the Manly Sea Eagles and a proud member of the Manly Warringah Football Club, often attending NRL matches.

PARALEGAL

Isabella Ali brings four years of experience in the real estate industry, complemented by a strong legal foundation, to her role as Paralegal to Skye. She delivers assured support across conveyancing matters, combining practical industry insight with meticulous attention to detail to guide clients through property transactions efficiently and with clear, effective communication.

While completing her conveyancing degree, Isabella continues to strengthen her expertise through working alongside Skye in many different matters.

Dedicated to professional growth and exceptional client service, Isabella is committed to providing accurate, timely support and building lasting, trusted relationships throughout the conveyancing process.

Outside of the office, Isabella enjoys spending time with her friends and large family. She is passionate about living a healthy lifestyle and enjoys pilates and the gym.
